Many of you may already know about MoviePass, but in case you don't... It is like Netflix for movies at the theatre. You pay $9.95/mo for up to one "2D" showing every single day. If it sounds too good to be true... it is. They will go out of business, but until they do sign up!
Here is how it works:
1. Sign up online and provide your payment info
2. Within a couple weeks, a MasterCard Debit Card is mailed to you with your name.
3. Download the MoviePass App
4. Drive to the movie theater and "check in" to your showing.
5a. Use your theatre "loyalty card" (if applicable)
5b. Purchase a ticket using the debit card
6. Enjoy your movie.
Movie Pass is great if you go to at least two movies a month. It may not be good for those who expect it to get in to see Solo:A Star Wars Film on opening night... although, by using your loyalty rewards program, you may be able to get that ticket in advance.
For those of you in Lynchburg, it works at both Regal and Venue cinemas.
