OK I was talking to a customer the other day and we were discussing the types of bands that we listened to growing up. We both said that it was funny that if you liked one band you weren't "allowed" to like another one. Here is the list we came up with. Pick your own:

The Who vs Led Zepplin - Led Zepplin is ancient Gaelic for over rated
Dokken vs Bon Jovi - Bon Jovi SOLD OUT!!! Plus, Alone Again is the greatest power ballad EVER
WHAM vs Tears For Fears - I always felt sorry for the straight guy in WHAM
Motley Crue vs Poison - Both equally bad, but SHOUT AT THE DEVIL album is CLASSIC
Janet Jackson vs Paula Abdul - Best tummy in rock and roll. Close b/c I had a serious crush on PA
The Clash vs Sex Pistols - Train in Vain, I Fought the Law, Should I Stay...., Rock The Casbah, the list can go on and on. Although Sid Vicious was a great name for a lead singer, and I LOVED SID AND NANCY
Mariah Carey vs Whitney Houston - Whichever one the girl I was dating liked
Pebbles vs Debbie Gibson - I think she became a porn star so that is a no brainer
Metallica vs Megadeath - GREATEST METAL BAND EVER!!! Seen em 7 times love ALL their albums/cd
Vanilla Ice vs MC Hammer - "Play That Funky Music White Boy" 'nuff said
Nirvana vs Pearl Jam - Don't care much for em but 10 was such an incredible album they win
The Bill Gaither Trio vs The Cathedral Quartet (OK I just put that one in there) - Two Words MARK LOWRY ( I know funny!! )
Jim Bakker vs Jimmy Swaggart - I will take the "I have sinned" speech over going infantile under a desk in the court!

AS FOR THE SCORPIANS - Very good band. STILL LOVING YOU brings back GREAT memories. (BUT will keep those to myself in case Mrs P shows up on the board) BLACKOUT was a great album. CHINA WHITE is a great jam and NO ONE LIKE YOU is an incredible video.

While I know who all of those bands are, and enjoy most of their music, I'm waaaaay too young to have to pick sides.

Now if this was Britney vs Christina I'd be all up in it. Ok, I'm not ATrain, I take that back.

Early in thier careers it was Dokken or Bon Jovi. For Def Leppard we came up with Whitesnake

I think we can all agree that The Scorpions have no equal.

The Who vs Led Zepplin

Dokken vs Bon Jovi

WHAM vs Tears For Fears

Motley Crue vs Poison

Janet Jackson vs Paula Abdul

The Clash vs Sex Pistols

Mariah Carey vs Whitney Houston (Paging Dr. Kevorkian.)

Pebbles vs Debbie Gibson (Oh wait. This is about who we'd like to hear more.)

Metallica vs Megadeath (In spite of them completely falling apart, the first five albums give it to them easily)

Vanilla Ice vs MC Hammer (He was too legit, unlike Robert van Winkle)

Nirvana vs Pearl Jam (I'd rather listen to Mariah Carey than Eddie Vedder...see above.)
