You can. Since Macs are now just the same as all other PC's, you can install Windows and have the best of both worlds. I have a Windows partition and a Mac OS X partition. I do everything but play games on the Mac, and when I want to play games, I just reboot into Windows. It's a beautiful situation.

But see words such as "Reboot" and "Partition" are two things I don't wanna deal with.

It's really not that hard at all. Apple even provides a nice user-friendly application to do the "hard" stuff for you. I'm just saying that, for some of us who don't mind clicking two or three times to start Windows up, it's nice having the best of both worlds. Use what you like. Use what works for you. Just don't ask me to clean up you (or your mom's) spyware and virus problems.

And then you can't run Mac OS X, which is fine, if you don't want to. I, however, prefer it as my primary operating system. :-P

Ubuntu Linux has become incredibly popular over the last year. It's very user-friendly and easy to install. Having said that, even with an easy to install and easy to use distribution of Linux, you will inevitably run into something not very easy about it. Even so, it's hard to beat the price.

I've used Suse Linux. It's okay. It's great for the price!

I had an used apple powerbook that was discontinued in something like 1991 back in my college days. It was WAY ahead of its time.

Macs work nice, but the software is expensive. But the software works. A good place to get good refurbished MACS is SUN REMARKETING. You'll have to google it.

I have a PC with WIN 98 with a socket 360 board, and a C3 chip (sort of like a pentium 3). I like Win 98 better than XP. Much faster.

I miss my Commodore, though! The days of GEOS and Hardball, and 4th and inches, and Guantlet that blowed the Nintendo away. TV Sports football. Etc.

Here's how I see it...

The people who talk crap about Macs are always Windows people, but even Windows people talk crap about Windows.

That's because Windows is crap.

You bever hear a Mac person talking crap about Mac OS.
