The days of small rural specialty colleges in general is close to finished. With Pillsbury & Northland both out of the picture, it is further evidence of the oobvious ... our vision for distance education established over 30 years ago is what God used to save our school from a similar fate.

And isn't that what is also contributing to the demise of these smaller colleges? People who used to go to them are now enrolling in LU Online. I have two relatives in LU online who would probably have found small schools geographically close to them a decade or two ago.

Agreed completely. There are a lot of smaller bible colleges just hanging on by a thread simply because it is much easier for people to attend a school like LU Online to get their degree, especially in ministry.

And all of those just barely hanging will finally let go once they've lost their non-profit status, if the current Admin has their way. I hope LU's planning ahead for these scenarios.

I remember when the College I went to wanted to lift the enrollment cap. WOW. It makes this Sweet Briar Mess look like a love fest. Initially I was against it but the foresight has left the school in good standing in a crowded and competitive market

According to Wiki NIU has a total of 325 students

Maybe LU could use a northern campus?

Well if the SC rules against marriage equality and marriage recognition, you don't have anything to worry about.

And if they rule in favor of forcing a re-definition.....we do, right?

Maybe...on the other hand, what would the SC say if a Muslim wanted to work for Liberty and was rejected?

Probably nothing, because no one's lobbying for the Muslims.

True, but I thought there was a court case regarding that issue at one point? Just Googled it and got nothing, but also didn't go very far into the search either.
