Today is officially “Catherine Ruth Hardee Day” in Kinston.
Mayor B.J. Murphy issued the proclamation to honor Hardee, who appears on tonight’s episode of “Jeopardy.”
“We’re certainly proud of Ms. Hardee, and we are expecting big results (to)night, and I hope that our community crosses their fingers for a big win,” Murphy said.
The proclamation cites Hardee’s master’s degree in history from Liberty University and earning most valuable player status three years while part of Liberty’s Quiz Bowl team.
Catherine is now a Jeopardy Champion and $12,000 richer for half an hour of work. She will be recognized in Convo tomorrow from the President's skybox and will defend her Jeopardy championship tomorrow, so please tune in to watch!

Nice work, $12k in a half hour. But Kinston must be a sad place to live if all it takes to get a day named after you is competing on Jeopardy.

Nice TV news article about it, too. If anyone is local, I have reserved the 87-seat theater in the Hancock Welcome Center on campus to view her performance tonight, and Catherine will be there in person!
Another win tonight...Im sure there was much cheering in the Hancock Welcome Center eh Dr Cider?

Yes, sir! Due to a football game on CBS Thursday night, Catherine's next appearance on Jeopardy will be Friday morning at 10:30, which is our Convocation hour.

The Novice Quiz Bowl team and I watched the game in the Hancock Welcome Center theater. Catherine led the whole game until Final Jeopardy, but missed that last question.
Still she ended her run $97,201 richer, which is not bad money for a week's worth of work, especially when you are only working 30-minute days.
Congratulations to my former Quiz Bowler, Catherine Hardee, who was a 4-time Jeopardy Champion!

Your proper grammar is wasted here.
And the post from Did Liberty Win was pretty funny as well

Yeah, Leviathan or Behemoth. I would have had a 50-50 chance of getting it wrong too.

Actually she probably did it all in one or two days...they film multiple shows in one day.

Yes, it was on two separate days. They film 4 shows per day, and she was on for 5 episodes. She flew out once with her mom and then flew back out with her dad.
