That's a big building! 1.7 million square feet. Not sure that would be? 20 miles?

Was told it might only be used for storage to start with.

Could it be that former e-toys place or whatever it was near Chatham on 29? That's a very large building.

Haven't heard anything from my contacts in Appomattox that Thomasville has been sold/donated/etc...just that there are interested buyers.

That's about .06 square miles of facility if my math is even remotely correct, which still would be a MASSIVE facility for even another single entity to occupy

I'm hearing this might be a reference to a gift to the school about a year ago over in Atrain's hometown. And lynchburgwildcats can probably confirm the size is nowhere near 1.7M sq ft. But certainly a good-sized facility nonetheless.

This is the weakest and least-significant LU rumor ever.

I heard that LU has acquired the ORIGINAL rides at Disney World, which have been sitting in a field for 20 years. We will reassemble them up on the mountain under snowflex. Go.

Surprised they haven't already combined them with the left overs from Heritage USA

Haven't heard anything about it in the Farmville area. If anyone there were going to donate anything, Hampden-Sydney and Longwood would be the likely beneficiaries as they have well established alumni bases in the area...not many people in that area with significant monies/facilities w/ ties to Liberty...yet.

Some guys in the LU IT dept were talking about it ..... I've been busy problem solving at the airport and haven't had time to follow up. It could be something that was donated a while ago and they are just now getting ready to use it. Or it could be new? Was hoping one of you guys knew.

Usually LU puts news about donations on its webpage. I have seen nothing like that so far.
