Anybody score any sweet deals today? I hit up Lowes at about 6:30 this morning and dropped half a C-note on some some tools, knives, and a Maglite.

I'm more of a Cyber Monday guy. But I did score some sweet discounts on photo books for my in-laws at Christmas (always the toughest buy of my holiday season).
I'm curious whether Phoenix was in that Walmart this morning where the lady was trampled by his house.

I make it a habit of not being anywhere NEAR Walmart on Black Friday. This year I actually went to Kroger for taco supplies, but that is it.
That Walmart is nuts most of the time anyway, but especially on the first of the month. Unless I can get there when there's nobody there, I stay away.

We always do Black Friday in the afternoon about 4. That way the crazy people are gone or out of energy and we can grab dinner later.

Got some headphones, a tablet case, and got a free product from quirky.com for spending $30. For the most part there just really wasn't much of anything that interested me, it's not like I need to get a new tv, camera, blueray player, gps, etc. every single year...

This was posted originally in
The Onion, but I read it first on many Facebook updates (attempted humor, NOT serious news):
42 Million Dead In Bloodiest Black Friday Weekend On Record
NEW YORK—According to emergency personnel, early estimates indicate that more than 42 million Americans were killed this past weekend in what is now believed to be the bloodiest Black Friday shopping event in history.
First responders reporting from retail stores all across the nation said the record-breaking post-Thanksgiving shopping spree carnage began as early as midnight on Friday, when 13 million shoppers were reportedly trampled, pummeled, burned, stabbed, shot, lanced, and brutally beaten to death while attempting to participate in early holiday sales events.

Got a free Galaxy S4 (with a 2 year contract, but I was going to do that anyway) from Best Buy. Free shipping, and it's supposed to be here today.
