I posted it on the 'we're back' thread. The banner ad keeps jacking up my screen. These guys are so greedy they have forgotten what got them here :D just kidding! (No I'm not) (ok yes I am.. :)

you guys are just ungrateful...get adblock! It makes the site look weird but at least you avoid annoying ads that you will never click on anyways.

That's not how it works Jim. LUO has no idea that their ad is here… it's about the cookies on your computer.

It seems Frank & Oak ads have been following me wherever I go, despite the fact I have never ordered from them... but they'll follow me even more so now after I write this post :D

But hopefully eventually I can meet my dream Russian woman through the advertising here.

I'm not sure what he is seeing... I have some ads for a scantily clad animated drawing video game and a t-shirt company. I've never visited either site, but the ads are targeted towards guys 18-35ish. My guess is that I am targeted for those ads because of some sports sites I visit, whose likely target demographic falls in that range.

Agreed. To my knowledge, I have never searched online for Colombian love connections, but the adware is targeting me for those, and I have no idea what Frank and Oak even is. I am sure my ESPN habit puts me in the demographic that Bama mentions (though its been a while since I was 18-35ish). If you use Google Chrome, get the AdBlock extension.

I followed an arrow on one of the ads (someone else said there was an "x" to close the ads) and was taken to google. It showed my "interests" and profile. I was in an older category, which explains the AARP ads. :)

It knows about my habit of sports news, and also that my son likes minecraft.

I was shopping around for a car the last couple months, and now all the ads I see are for the cars I was searching for. I wonder how long that will last.

Some of the newer browsers have a "do no track" option that helps with some of the targeted ads. I don't have a newer browser so have never used it, but that's what I've read.
