Are we sure this is accurate? They've had problems with the veracity of statements from their leaders before

They are trying to sell their 67-year-old, inner-city campus for $19.6 million.

I didn´t realize that Lee Robertson only died 5 years ago. It´s hard to grasp how he could stay on the sidelines and watch the school he built slowly fall apart.

Dr. Falwell wrote the nicest article about Lee Roberson shortly after he died (I think in March); and then only a few months later, the Lord took Dr. Falwell home to heaven, too.

How can you write an article after you died

Lee died April 29, 2007. Jerry died 16 days later.

So how could Jerry write the article?

I assume he wrote it on one of the first 15 days after Lee died. Just a hunch.

That's not how Cider phrased it. Quiz Bowl coach, huh. More like Quiz Bowl couch.

Here's the article, if you want to read of the connection that Dr. Falwell and Dr. Robeson shared: two giants of the faith for many decades:

I dunno. Wouldn't it be more accurate to say 'After Lee Roberson died, Dr Falwell wrote the nicest article about him.?' Or 'A few months before DrFalwell passed away, he wrote the nicest article about Lee Roberson who had recently passed away.'

Wow, maybe you did learn something at WVU: you worded it even better than I did!

This, I know. We try to do the LORD's work with our needy Marshall brethren.

I know that a couple of years ago, TTU was shifting its focus away from residential students with an eye on emulating our success in online. Im not sure if that mindset still exists or if they had any success in that venture.

Sly, you are exactly right. If Danny Lovett did any good at Temple, it was directing them toward online education. Right now, I think Temple has about 400 resident students and 800 online students, which gives them just over 1,000 total students which is way up from their enrollment of 200 students total just a few years ago. In its glory years (my freshman year in 1980), Temple had 4,000 students, but they have fallen on hard times since then. Hopefully, a new campus will help them increase enrollment as they also pursue SACS accreditation.

TTU has had it's hey day. I suspect it is just rearranging the chairs on the Titanic now. Too much water under that bridge.

I think you need to work another cliche into your repertoire.

Look what a new campus and regional accreditation did for Liberty! If Temple can acheive both of those soon, it may really resurrect them from the ash heap.
And they just hired a seasoned, seminary-educated president who has a Ph.D. in crisis management, so I'm hoping for the best!

If they can survive they need to expand their offering of majors. Just saying.
