Facebook: Now Open

For those who aren't aware, Facebook launched open registration today. This is a change from when you had to register with a .edu or specific company address to get in. I don't think it's a bad thing, but it will certainly open the floodgates to new users. If you don't want these folks being able to search for you just go into your privacy settings and disable searching by people with "No Network".
If you didn't sign up for Facebook for lack of an LU address before, now you have no excuse. Get in there.

Just read the other thread that went off abt. technology-we have a scanner but need a new one. Also, my husb. wants to get a new printer that does everything. Do you have to have a FACE on Facebook? I need to find my student ID#, esp. after your suggestion abt. privacy settings and no netw.

don't have to have a picture on facebook if you don't want to.

Still can't join the LU network without an email, which is kinda lame imo.

Hm. That would also require me to remember the password. It looks like I will have to contact them.
(I almost never used my LU email while on campus)

You can do a
password reset on the LU website, if you can remember what information they have on file for you.
Otherwise, call the helpdesk at (434) 582-2139 and they can help you out. Or, if they can't, they'll send you over to my office and I will.
