I often wonder, with cases like this and the Cleveland situation, just how many of these kinds of things are never even discovered.

Oh, I think it's massivley prevalent. I never understood why kidnapping and human trafficking don't get more attention. The fact that it happens so easily in a country like ours is sickening. I hope all these idiots who obsess over porn realize they're more than likely watching someone doing something as a captive against their will.

In my opinion kidnapping and the porn industry go hand-in-hand. I think people kidnap because of watching porn and to create porn. Really really sad.

This is the first I have seen of this story. I just drove by this part of town this evening. Houston is generally recognized as one of the country's primary human/sex trafficking hot spots. But this story is a different beast.

But seriously Human Trafficing used to be called the slave trade, and its ugly head seems to be growing.

It's terrible in Tampa. The stats are mibdblowing and extremely sad

Even in DC, with groups like IJM and the Polaris Project, it's commonplace. Just this May there were reports of the Saudi embassy being used as a major trafficking base.

I understand exactly what you're saying. If you don't, go and read stories about people being busted for kidnapping kids for kiddie porn. One of the biggest causes of human trafficking is sex slavery which very well correlates the porn industry.
