supposedly only 2 deaths. life preservation on the new aircrafts are really pretty phenomenal.

No kidding. I have landed on the runway many times and it always freaks me out how close we get to the water before touching down. Now that I have seen the worse case scenario, I am not going to be as apprehensive.

Came in too low, and too slow. That explains the tail snapping out. Also, the guy didn't have much experience with a 777. You could maybe get away with his mistake on a 737, but certainly not a 777.

Yeah, I know there would be some guy just videotaping planes because that's what people do. :?

I'm amazed at how pretty much every event get's video taped these days. For this reason alone, I'll never be able to run for political office.

and 1 of the 2 may've been run over by an emergency repsonder's vehicle. Wonder what type of lawsuit will come out of that one...
