A Sea Of Red

Since Killing Lincoln, I haven't been as impressed with his books so I was hesitant to get this one. Glad to hear you give me an excuse to read on one of my favorite historical subjects. I love the South Pacific and was blown away by how WWII still impcts life there today.

the original trilogy teamed up with secret history is basically a finished product. the wax and wayne series are their own entity. The stormlight series and other ones are also pretty much their own.

so no worries about that.

i'm half way through the wax and wayne series. not as good but still pretty good.

Don't know if you saw this, but Rothfuss has contracted to have the Kingkiller Chronicle to be produced (movie & show series). The dude who made the Hamilton musical, Lin-Manuel Miranda, has signed up to produce it. Wonder if this will prevent the third book from ever being published, a la Game of Thrones.

I thought it was a play co-authored by Rowling. Didn't realize it was a book.

after the 2nd book, i am excited to read the 3rd book but its definitely not going to kill me if i never see it. lots of these epic series have their license for screen sold and just flounder to nothing. like even the mistborn trilogy had its right tossed about. i dislike this happeneing before a story ends though. as we see with GOT. its running into its issues for those who would rather read.

not reading but we watching that movie of the magic creatures or what not. these books are designed for kids i get it but blech.

HUGE fan of O'Reilly's "Killing" series. Gives a level of historical depth to a lot of people and events. If I wasn't a broadcasting major and had an aversion to writing papers (and raging ADHD) I might have majored in history in undergrad

Correct, she had help with it, but the script is available in book form.

Great concept, mediocre writing. His second book isn't nearly as good due to the concept not working as well. Tons of 80s nostalgia. It's being made into a movie.
