Twitter is rocking right now over a bombing at the Boston Marathon finish line. Reports are people have lost limbs from the explosion.

Just got a text from a friend who runs this every year and she's saying multiple fatalities and some people had limbs blown off. Also, hearing something may have happened at one of the local hotels.

Three killed. Two explosions heard, I wonder if Al Qaeda has started their bombing on US homeland?

Dual explosions were new 20 years ago when I lived in the Middle East but SOP now. Something about this time of year. Ruby Ridge. Oklahoma City Branch Davidians.

Sounding like they've found quite a few secondary devices that were unexploded and are doing controlled explosions now. Boston PD is saying 2 dead, 23 injured. Could have been much worse if the other devices had detonated properly.

Agreed. It's fortunate that the second explosion wasn't across the street. Makes me think there are more devices that didn't go off

Here's a non graphic image that gives an idea of how big the explosions were.

Cavuto just confirmed that at least 2 more devices have been found. Thank God for the ineptitude of whoever did this

Gotta wonder if those bombs were registered so we can find out who did this horrible thing.

This thing could have been a whole lot worse. Apparently they immediately jammed cell phone frequencies in the area which would prevent cell phone detonation

I wonder if that would have stopped any one using a garage door opener to set off remote bombs

Liberal media will blame a NRA member for this attack. I guess Al Qaeda may not be as dead as Obama has stated..

PA might answer that. Not sure what frequencies they use. I would say yes because they probably jammed the spectrum.

Could people possibly wait until we know what happened before acting like idiots and having a pissing contest over who can blame who first? Act like freaking adults for once.

Kudos to the BPD and race officials for knocking down the barriers from the street to the sidewalk to allow easier access to the scene

Any other sports events today in Boston today, like the Bruins, Red Sox and Celtics?

A pic from the Boston Globe Sports Twitter feed of the immediate reaction of the police on the scene. It never ceases to amaze me that people have the initial instinct to run toward something like this instead of away from it.
