Thoughts on Rubio?
All I saw today were stupid comments about his water bottle issue. When I was watching his speech, I was loving the fact that he was calling out Obama, by name, which is something no one else has been doing in Washington since November 4th. He has a legit story, the same as Dr. Ben Carson, but somehow the media always ends up being able to change the focus of their story to some stupid issue - and it follows them for the rest of their career.

In my opinion, it's sad to see him transforming into a Beltway Insider. Remember, all these guys supported Charlie Crist over him. Then, when those racist Tea Party supporters defeated Crist, all the Republicans choose Rubio to be the pet Hispanic.
Yes, I like Rubio's story. I'm just sad to see that it actually matters what skin color he is. Lets leave plantation politics to the Democrats. But, the establishment Republicans always feel a need to pander to Democrats. There's really not much a difference between the two anymore, although there are a few solid Republicans. Rubio isn't bad. He's just being used.

Funny one hispanic senator Rubio gets trashed by the MSM for drinking water when rebutting the President and a hispanic senator Robert Menendez has sex with underage girls and not much is written about him by the MSM. Now tell me there is no difference between the two parties when it comes to MSM reporting.

Yeah, we get it, the media treats Republicans worse than Democrats. Thanks for pointing out what we already knew 33 years ago.

It's not a big deal but it was funny how he kept trying to look at the camera. And how he kind of tried to duck off the camera and the camera dude followed him. Not a big deal but I was fairly amused that it happened.

I am sure he has been coached up (but it'd be nice to see some evidence of it) but he still looks green on the national stage.

Here's to hoping we don't have many of those on here...

But they're too stupid to realize what you're saying anyway!
Besides, there's no low information voters on here anyway.

I've heard him give several speeches, and he always sounds like he has dry-mouth. You could tell he was starting to have difficulty, so he really didn't have a choice but to take a chug. They probably should have had the water a little closer to him, though.
A lot of people say Rubio's not ready for the big-time yet, but they have to remember, he's fighting against a receding hairline, so the time is now...

Why is it always those on the right that feel it necessary to determine who is and who is not ready? When the cRATS saw Obama speak at the 2004 DNC it was as though he was accepting the party's nomination and not Kerry. Rubio already has more experience than Obama did prior to him being elected president in '08 and there's still 3 years to go before anything serious starts to happen.

It may be because the right doesn't use Obama as the guage in how much experience one should have. Rubio may be ready yesterday, who knows, but I personally would like to have seen someone lead something first, whether it be a state or a business or a revolution. It's not a requirement, just would be kinda nice.
