Heard this on the radio yesterday. First good news out of that program it seems like in a long time.

Indeed...considering most of the news has been about that crazy situation with the lady and her daughter (and whatever else dickens posts on occasion), its good to see some good news about the law school and students

Totally legit from what I can tell in the story...They werent even expecting to do all that well (being brand new) in this competition because they were prepping for two other competitions based on what Im gleaning.

Is this a competition that all the top level law schools enter? I couldn't find much info about the competition.

I cant really find much either outside of the regional and national results which really only list the top 2 as far as regionals go and then only the top 4 national finishers, but its no reason to downplay what is a very good bit of news coming out of the law school. If somebody from there could post on here (and be civil about it) that certainly would be helpful

Oh, I agree it's quite an accomplishment and am not trying to take anything away from them. I was just curious to see if they went against legitimate top level law schools.

Though it sounds like in the next sentence youre doing that anyway...just a thought...

Not sure...there are four tournaments that the ABA sanctions and I think the one most people would have heard of is the Appellate Advocacy Tournament (first regional for that starts on Valentine's Day according to the website)

Not at all. I was just wanting to know what level of competition they faced. Winning is still commendable either way.

I'm interested to know what they do during competition. Are these mock trials or something?
