The original Cory & Topanga WILL star in the pilot for Disney Channel’s ‘Boy Meets World’ sequel series! This ought to shut down some of the skeptics: HollywoodLife.com‘s sister site TVLine is reporting that Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel – aka the original Cory Matthews and Topanga Lawrence-Matthews — will reprise their roles on Disney Channel’s pilot for Girl Meets World, which will chronicle their 13-year-old daughter Riley’s own discovery of said world. If you’re late to the game, here are a few more details we know about Girl Meets World: Cory is now a history teacher, and he and Topanga have a 14-year-old son named Elliot. Meanwhile, this generation’s answer to Shawn Hunter is coming in the form of Maya, Riley’s “edgy” best friend.

It has my curiosity but I highly doubt it will be worth watching especially if it is anything like the last couple of seasons of boy meets world which at the time I loved, but now I watch those same episodes and it pains me. That was some awful tv.

Big difference from being herself and playing a woman that 90% of us dreamed about in junior high.

Wow, he was in a dumb movie they filmed with Jane Seymour a couple summers ago at Smith Mtn Lake. He was a nice guy, very personable. The movie was flat out awful though. What was Cory's brothers name, I always thought he was funny too. It's amazing how far down sitcom's have fallen and how raunchy they all are. You used to have Home Improvement, Step by step, Boy meets world, family matters etc. Most shows now are just unwatchable.

Touche. Friday night used to be must watch for sitcoms. Classic after classic back in the 90s. There are still some good ones out there these days like How I Met Your Mother and Big Bang Theory, but I miss the Friday Night lineups of yesteryear.
