Ok people listen up! I don't care if you drink at a concert. I don't care if you get stoned at a concert. But for the love of all that is holy, I do care if you have a loud running conversation over the music while you are stoned or drunk! I did not pay a lot of money, $285 in this case to hear the rambling of you and your friends. I came to hear the band! Again, even if in this case the lead guitarist probably couldn't even hear the band but that's because he is losing his hearing!
In other reviews...
I like the idea of the concept album but not so much the tour. Operation MindCrime being the exception, Mr Roboto being the norm.
I did like the way they did try to ' modernize ' it with the video montage and went retro with recordings from the now deceased drummer and bass player
The problem with concept album tours is that there are very few if ant commercial hits to enjoy. So good thing they played a 6 song Greatest Hits encore/second set.
Baba O'reilly may be the greatest rock song of all time but Love, Reign O'er Me live can move the coldest of hearts
Roger Daltrey is 68. Pete Townsend is 67. Amazing.

The worst was the people beside us being told to sit down at a Tom Petty show last spring by a mid-60s couple behind them. The lady beside my wife told them that it was a rock concert and they should have spent the money to buy handicapped seats if they wanted to sit down the whole time. It got heated after the old man gave her the finger. Eventually the older couple went and got security. Security laughed and told them that people like to stand during concerts.

my concert going days are over i think. ticket prices have skyrocketed. i have brought earplugs to the last 2 shows i went to. for some reason people stink. literally smell bad.

another thing, the sea of phone camera phenomena is ruining the experience. seriously nobody SHOULD want to watch your shaky crackly audio pixely footage.

my last concert was smashing pumpkins first show of their zeitgeist tour. front row balcony. great seats and i could sit and enjoy without a bunch of smelly douches being in my way.

I don't go unless I can get front row balcony or somewhere up high so I know I won't have to stand the whole time. I'm an old fogey, I guess.

If its too loud you are too old!

We try to either get close floor or close balcony. I'm sort of a seat diva! I do like first or second row on balcony on the side off the floor. Gives the sit or stand option.

the other concert i last went to was in flames so both them and the pumpkins were loud as crap. i have slight tinnitus when its gets loud after years of goose/duck hunting, car stereo, and band stuff so i've got to have the plugs.

I thought my concert days were over. But I am now training the next generation of concert-goers. Took my daughter to see a six act show a bit over a month ago, and she had a blast (until she got tired during the last band, and we had to go back to the "parents and youth leaders" section so she could sit down). Wasn't too loud for me, and I think I was the oldest one there who was standing up and getting into the music.
