Dropbox Great Space Race

Dropbox is having a competition of sorts for schools, having users verify their .edu email addresses, and in exchange getting free space. If you verify your .edu address right now you get 3GB, but the more liberty people who do it the more space we get, up to 25GB. Saw the Alumni fb page post it and now I'm all about it, I want that free space haha.

Problem is that you only get that 3GB space for 2 years. It's a weak deal compared to all the special offers they have done before where you get more free, permanent space.
Oh, and Dropbox in general is a weak deal compared to box.com that gives you 50GB of free space and it works just like dropbox...

I'm at 75gb using various promo's.
It's not like they delete your files if you were somehow living under a rock during that 2 year period and unable to continue to do promo's like this to keep up the space...they simply keep you from being able to add to the file's. Not to mention with the current roadmap cloud storage is taking I'd be shocked if I'm not at 200gb's free 2 years from now.

+1.
I'm working on getting specific files onto specific services -- I ust have to remember what I have where. I've got the 50GB deal on box.net, so I use that for any videos I'm sharing. Dropbox is for documents, and MiMedia (for now) is for pictures and some audio.

I'm also paying $5 a month for 100gb from Google. Photos/videos are for dropbox because I love the way they handle the uploads for photos. All of my docs go straight to google because I love the way they've integrated Google Docs with their Drive. Videos are local because I have about 1TB worth and I'm not going to be paying for that
