Looking to get a new phone. Current one is bearable sine it works, but that's about it. I'm on AT&T Prepaid, and since their selection of prepaid phones is an embarrassment to all of mankind, I'm looking at unlocked phones. That means paying full price, so the crazy good phones like the Galaxy SIII, for example, are not even in consideration. Not dropping 400-700 on a phone, I don't like those types of phones enough to want to pay that price!

Anyways, I have narrowed down the list to three that are in the 300ish or lower price range. Have any of you guys had one of these and what are your thoughts on them if you have had one? IF you have other phone suggestions, please provide them if you do not mind.

Motorola Atrix 4g (supposed to be getting ICS upgrade this year)
Motorola Atrix 2 (also supposed to be getting ICS upgrade if it hasn't already)
LG Optimus 3D (also supposed to be getting ICS upgrade)

None of those three phones had any red flags on the specs that matter to me. Phones below are in consideration, but had at least one spec red flag (one being no front camera, but I can more than live without that)

HTC Desire V
Sony Xperia Sola
HTC Rhyme
Sony Xperia U
Samsung Galaxy S Blaze

Oh and no, I do not want an iPhone unless you want to sell me your GSM iPhone 4/4s to me for $300 or less. Do not even bother wasting your time to reply to this topic with that haha.

I had an android for 2 years. It was okay for awhile, but Iphone is still a better product. And no, I'm not getting into a stupid debate with anyone about it.

Well, I have bought a ton of Android apps, a lot more than I bought from Apple when I had an iPod Touch, so it would make more sense to stay with Android unless the price was right to switch over.

Ended up going with the Atrix 4G. Found a guy selling it on Ebay for $160 so I couldn't pass that up. Used, but pictures looked like it was in pretty good condition. A new one sells for $212 on amazon. Even read that I can install the Jelly Bean OS on there if I root it and install a third party developer mod, so that should be pretty sick! Device specs I care the most about are the same or a bit better in some spots compared to the iPhone 4 so I think I am getting a pretty solid device here.

Love jelly bean. Got it on my Nexus 7. Haven't used an MIUI rom yet, but might give it a try on the Atrix 4G if there is one for it. My current junk phone doesn't have an MIUI rom, all I've been able to find is a modded gingerbread that really doesn't improve much of anything.
