How do you eat apple sauce--chilled, room temp, or warmed?

This may seem like a silly question, but Flame Fans always like to discuss their food preferences.

Our church is hosting a children's music camp this week, and this question came up in our kitchen. From polling the mothers in our church kitchen, it seems folks in Virginia like their apple sauce chilled, those who grew up west of the Appalachians like it warmed, and those from the Deep South eat it at room temperature.

How do you like your apple sauce?

Chilled. It's much more refreshing that way. But then I like apple pie cold too.

I've always had it chilled or at room temperature. The warmed concept is intriguing.

I grew up in Morgantown, WV and enjoy it chilled from a jar from the store.

My wife grew up in New Jersey and prefers it homemade and warmed.

I've had it warmed with melted red hot candies in it. Very tasty, but prefer it cold.

Has to be chilled. Even will put it in the freezer for a few minutes if a new jar is going to be opened for dinner. Also have to add some cinnamon - but not too much as it will choke you up.

There. phew, much better.

I've never heard of it warmed up, but I guess it would be like spiced apples that way.
If I eat it out of the fridge, it's cold. If it's been sitting in my lunch half the day, it's room temp. That's about it.

I chose "chilled," but I love homemade applesauce when it is HOT. Same with Applebutter. Gots to love me some Applebutter.
