We had a thread where some of the one-liners were being dropped. I can't seem to find it now.

Ever since the news broke that House Hunters is fake, I find myself having to pretend that all reality shows are not fake, when in fact, they probably all are. Even so, this show is pretty funny. Lots of great lines.

Great show. It's my guilty pleasure. Mrs Purple says she doesn't like it but always watches with me!

Watching it for the first time now and...I don't get it. It just doesn't seem to be that funny. I'll watch a few more to make sure.

I'll stick with my reruns of Seinfeld and AFV. People getting whacked in the junk is way funnier than any of this crap on cable tv.

its pretty funny. i'm certain its produced up a bit but from guys around here that know the robertsons, this show is pretty much legit. It also sums up pretty good most duck hunters i know and hunt with. they are nuts.

I'll stick with my occasional guilty pleasure of Lizard Lick Towing and that'll be just fine. This one doesn't do it for me at all.

I know how Mrs Purple feels .... It's like a bad car accident, it hurts to look, but you just can't turn away .....

Bump:
Good on them. I've watched from Day 1. I don't understand how TV and movie types can't see how these types of Family Values programs do gang busters. They always seem surprised when one of these types of programs does well and shocked when the opposite is true.
You wouldn't think it, but Phil and all the rest of his crew are actually pretty solid speakers...

Phil got suspended from the show If you read the whole GQ article it sounds far from intolerant or filled with hate speech. I have always sensed an uneasy tension between the Robersons and A and E
And the funny thing is: do you think Phil care? Nope. I thought his statement was far from hateful. He explained he loves everyone and that it is not his responsibility to judge who goes to heaven or hell. The GLADD folks were the ones who were spewing the hatred.
But A and E is a Disney company so there is that. I can see the DD folks not negotiating another deal unless Phil is brought back. The next season is already in the can and could be their last...at least on A and E. Maybe The Blaze will pick them up?

Thanks for posting this Haize.
He may have been blunt but this is the guy that always talks about how his wife goes on and on and he doesn't listen. I don't think anyone would expect anything less from Phil. It's also funny how anyone is surprised by this. Evangelical Christian man doesn't support homosexuality. That's a surprise!?!?
Even though you get the sense he doesn't really like doing the show for the most part, I hope the family supports him during this and takes their show elsewhere.

Here's the really hypocritical thing from A and E. If they were so offended, why didn't they just pull the show all together? Do you think they are going to stop showing re runs? Nope. He's in every episode. So until they do that they are a bunch of hypocrites

And the funny thing is, he has been missing from many episodes this season because he said he doesn't always enjoy doing the show anyways. The hilarious thing (and it remains to be seen) is that it is very possible he isn't in many of the upcoming episodes next year to begin with which means they will get away with their "apology" and "suspension" without doing anything really. Anything to satisfy the militant folks on the other side.
