Anybody else tired of this story yet? It is killing our vacation this week in Destin. Beaches are closed and it is raining non-stop.

I'll bet postman is worried about his family back at home.

We've got some staff on vacation in Destin. Our HSM just left yesterday for a mission trip in Jacksonville. They're getting hit with it some today.

not so much as worried as upset I can't be there to help with things. So far nothing too major but the drain out back that the water flows to keeps getting stopped up causing the water to rise on the back porch...my wife keeps having to go out there to clear the drain of random debris...

If it continues though things could get bad. Tons and tons of rain....from the looks of things some of that rain should be redirected to Northern Texas, man is it dry and hot here....

Looks like it's heading up the panhandle of Florida, but very slowly. Still not good for folks in Tampa because the eastern side produces heavy rain and tornados.

I have to say the GFS nailed it pretty well. I wasn't exactly sure how the storm could move westward when there wasn't really anything to push it west. I think it has it right pushing it up to I-10, then east towards Jacksonville and out to sea.

Things could always change though. When storms sit stationary, anything could influence it to change its track.

I just wish it would move along, the longer is stays the worse it gets. Some small branches have fallen on the house but nothing major but if it gets much worse it could be a lot worse as far as falling debris and with me not there that is not exactly something I want to deal with.

If the GFS is right, the heavier rain should stop during the day Monday. But there will still be heavy bands, but they'll be much more localized.

It still looks like a lot of rain should miss north. I-10 and north looks to really get hammered.

It rained like crazy last night and this morning here in Fort Myers. We're under a tornado watch until 2:00 this afternoon. Doesn't look too bad out right now. Hope everyone is safe in the panhandle.
