In an interivew last winter with Falwell Jr., (who was more than helpful and a really neat guy) Liberty officials prepared the costs of some of the more recent construction projects at the University.
Current projects: (as of February 15th, when the e-mail was sent to me)
Five new dormitories scheduled for completion in Fall of 2006 $8,000,000
LaHaye Ice Center $4,500,000 [$2,000,000 gift]
Liberty Christian Academy 120,000 square feet K-12 facility $9,000,000
Thomas Road Baptist Church new auditorium $16,000,000 [partially funded by special gifts from congregation]
New intramural fields $300,000
Golf driving range $40,000 (Phase I)
Football Operations Center $6,400,000 [$4,500,000 gift]
Renovation of former Ericsson facility, including new Health & Kinesiology classrooms and wellness center, Tolsma Indoor Track and Conference Center, “deindustrialization” of the facility (removal of water tanks, fuel tanks, overhead utilities and other industrial equipment and apparatus), and roof replacements $ 5,600,000
Law School (which has mock jury rooms) $2,700,000
Fountain and courtyard in front of DeMoss Hall $400,000
