It's already bananas over there. Not like in a gridlock way as we'll see tomorrow, but more of a cars darting out in front of each other kind of way.

also, props to VDOT for closing 1 lane of Candler's Mt Rd AGAIN, only this time putting up signs 1 month in advance that you'd be doing it at the worst possible time.

They also closed one lane of Wards in front of the new Chipotle's plaza. Awesome timing.

I live closer to Roanoke so I don't often travel to Lynchburg for much over the summer, but I'm always amazed how much less traffic there is when the schools are not in session. Only time I really go is to see a Hillcats game. I always love being one of the lone Salem fans when they play the Hillcats :D

Thankfully I live east of town and don't have to deal with it!

Good to see Patrick at graduation wearing an ORANGE mortarboard. I think he was in school even longer than ole BJ.

Not anymore...I got bigger things in my life now and I already have my bachelors (2009) so that's gonna go on hold, but Patrick definitely was at Liberty longer than I was

18 years of perseverence for Patrick. He is hoping to get a FT job at LU, so he will likely be around for years to come. God bless Patrick. :D

I heard the bridge closing was due to the railroad this time. Something about stuff falling down onto trains. Definitely the worst possible time that could have possibly happened. Hard to believe they couldn't work around it somehow.

Lets see, since Patrick started:

We have elected three presidents
Seven Olympics have been held (4 summer and 3 winter Olympics)
The number one song at the time of the accident was The Sign by Ace of Base, the current #1 is Somebody That I Used To Know by Gotye featuring Kimbra
18 Super Bowls have been held and the NFL added three teams
Michael Jordan has come back, won three titles, retired again and blown up two NBA franchises

18 years? That means our entire incoming freshman class was born since Patrick started at LU.

I wasnt doing it as a joke HMO, just to put things in perspective as to how long he had to work. Makes his accomplishment all the more meaningful
