What do y'all think about this?

I'm just disappointed that we're not at the top of the list.

it's just the top 10. They're in alphabetical order. Besides nobody could be more conservative than Hillsdale. But BJU didn't make the list

Jbock, this is a list of real universities: you know, the kind with regional accreditation.

That is an interesting list. I'd love to know their specific criteria.
Does King College still have Olasky running the show?
It is interesting to note that the traditional Baptist schools no longer cut it for a Conservative list.
Baylor? Sorry.
Samford? Nope.
Belmont? Nada.
Stetson? Nowhere to be found.

Rightfully so.

Stetson and Belmont could have used leadership that would give their students permission to torch the place if the school ever got away from its roots like Dr Falwell did

These lists are for the very thing we're doing now...I compare them to radio personalities like Cowherd

Interestingly, four are from Virginia: Christendom, Liberty, Regent, and Patrick Henry.
Didn't realize Regent was in Virginia. I always thought they were just an online school because all the ads I see are for online classes. Initially I was a bit surprised Hampden-Sydney wasn't on there given it is very heavily conservative, then I read about the schools I wasn't familiar with and realized it has a long way to go.

Hampden-Sydney has fallen way off. It blows my mind how many 18th century church leaders were educated there. Then again, Yale and Princeton once did too.

Regent is in Virginia Beach. Founded by Pat Robertson.

My mom got her Masters in Public Policy from Regent. many days spent carpooling to and from school while she worked on it (especially when she did her thesis)

Back in the day, Regent was called CBN University when it was post-grad only. A ton of my LU classmates went to grad school over at CBN especially for their film school.

They've got strong graduate programs for sure... they started the undergrad about 10 years ago though now too. Gov. Bob McDonnell graduated from law school at Regent.

My mom was good friends with him. She told me that he would come over to our house for cookouts on occasion

Liberty's hired quite a few faculty members who used to teach at Regent. The ones I know are indeed conservative but just not as much as I had expected. One in particular was a bit surprised that we offer a course called American Exceptionalism. He didn't think it was anything Regent would ever offer.

Well I for one hope that we never lose that... The LIberals control enough colleges already.

Um I can think of teachers at LU who taught at UVA, REGENT, SC and WEST POINT who never said it was conservatism but more republican issues that disgusted them.

Random Question for FF....
I heard once that Jerry considered lifting LU's drinking policy in the Liberty Way for students who were over 21 and if consumption occurred off campus. However, the Board of Trustees said no. Anyone confirm or deny?

From my understanding, it is true that the board controls those decisions. But I doubt Jerry would have wanted to do that. What would have been the point?
