my jr high group leader is not going to make it tonight and i need a quick lesson plan for the kiddos. anyone got a link to some online stuff that i can make use of?

just tell them old jr high stories.

that would not be good.

i just need something that will keep their attention.

i have a tim keller video where he talks alot about the life of jesus and some clues that we can know its true but i'm worried it may be over their head. the last thing i want is for their eyes to glaze over and snore through it.

Try to find the Louie Giglio video where he uses the size of different stars in the universe, unless they've already seen it.

That's funny - I just watched that DVD last week.

Wish I would have seen this earlier. Next time tell about when you were in Jr. High, just focus on giving them something that will allow them to see you as normal and approachable on Sunday mornings and not just some adult.

That's a good call. Puts things into perspective. I also like his "Fruitcake and Ice Cream." That one had a real impact on my Senior High Sunday School kids.

Any of you guys done any of the Francis Chan stuff. Is he more geared toward adults, or would his stuff work for senior-high age?

well the video received groans from the older kids, who had seen it a few times already. (we also had the sr highers join us) but other than that, it was liked.

I'm not in any type of ministry, youth or otherwise, so....

I don't think Chan gears his stuff toward the younger crowd, but I have no doubt they'd be able to handle it. It's not like marriage or child-rearing stuff, so it's pretty universal (in the Christian universe).
