Are Newts chickens coming home to roost? DRUDGE is reporting that Marianne, one of his ex's, has sat down with ABC News and dropped a bombshell!

Just as long as they go after Newt. They better not say anything bad about Mittens. Karl Rove says so.

Yeah. Wouldn't want someone who has a strong family, no racial newsletters, and no skeletons in his closet getting the nomination!
The only thing they can hammer him on is some of the whacky Mormon beliefs. BUTifhe has gone on record opposing magic underwear then there isn't much. Plus, that will cut both ways in the general election.

As a devout Mormon, he wears the underwear.

Santorum is going nowhere. He's got no chance.

Maybe. But he sure can't with Newt in there. They are splitting what vote is available to them. If there was just one of 'em rather than three (including Perry), Romney would have his hands full.

Of course, that's if you believe that the RNC didn't mysteriously find 15 Romney ballots in the trunk of someone's car, which gave him the victory. (a la Minnesota style)
Here's the official results (sorry I have to do this Haize)
Rick Santorum: 29,839
Mitt Romney: 29,805
Ron Paul: 26,036
Newt Gingrich: 16,163
Rick Perry: 12,557
Michele Bachmann: 6,046
Jon Huntsman: 739
No preference, 147
Herman Cain, 45
Sarah Palin, 23
Buddy Roemer, 17
Fred Karger, 10
Gary Johnson, 8
Donald Trump, 5
Paul Ryan, 3
Condoleeza Rice, 2
Roy Moore, 2
Ben Lange, 2
Mike Huckabee, 2
Rudy Giuliani, 2
Tim Pawlenty, 2
Scott Walker, 1
John McCain, 1
Ralph Nader, 1
Pat Buchanan, 1
Robert D. Ray, 1
Jared Blankenship, 1

That "others" list is pretty tight. Iowa, you are a joke.

I was hoping Santa Clause (spelled incorrectly by the voter) would make an appearance!

This was a big mistake by the Newt campaign. They should have had both is ex-wives employed as "consultants".

I could never be friends with any of the 147 "No Preference" people.

They aren't going to go after Mitt full force until he's the nominee. Until then, they will continue to destroy any candidate who inches closer to him. This is why as soon as Santorum won in Iowa they started writing articles and talking about all of his 'religious' beliefs etc. Now that Newt is on the rise (once again) they bring skeletons out of his closet, 2 days before the SC primary.
It will be interesting to see who the Perry supporters move to though... Santorum and Newt have a lot to gain from this.

You are correct. Perry is endorsing Newt, but I don't see Perry's supporters heading to Newt. I see Perry's supporters bumping up 2% for all candidates, and probably only 1% for Paul. Having said that I'll admit that's just my best guess.
Gingrich is resurging in SC. He may well win it. He's got a good shot in the South if he can hang on his numbers. But Romney will win Michigan, Florida, Nevada.
For the voters out there, don't buy in when Karl Rove tells you it's over. He's on Romney's payroll obviously. Notice the states who are voting, with the exception of South Carolina, aren't even states that vote Republican.

I'm thinking now would be a good time for Lib to go ahead and pull their Newt ad
6 months ago would have been ok with me too.

JB your not hurting my feelings. I was expecting him to finish 3rd so a virtual tie is huge. Considering Santorum will probably be gone after Florida.
The more I am hearing the more I am thinking this interview will work out well. His ex is not a very sympathetic figure, he has his daughters shilling for him, he can play the Catholicism card, he can say Clinton lied about it and he's been open. If anyone can spin it he can.

Soooooo. Newt not happy with the first question of the debate. Romney gave best answer, Santorum threw up on himself.

Ha. No but he lit into the moderator. I did find it funny when the candidates introduced themselves Romney mentioned his wife of umpteen years 5 sons 5 daughter in laws Nd 16 grand kids. Very subtle dig.
Santorum was hounding Mitt on Romneycare and Mitt finally said If you want to run for governor of Mass go ahead, but I running for president of the US!

Santorum is probably just like "please, somebody notice me, please."

"If I am elected President, I will make sure that there is no place in America where two boys may be kissing!"
I don't really care about the debates. All they do is pander to whoevers watching.
That and Ron Paul will be booed for something stupid like daring to use common sense as foreign policy.
