Students to appear on Fox News' "On the Record"
December 26, 2011 : Liberty University News Service

Students from the Helms School of Government and Liberty University School of Law will appear at 10 p.m. (ET) tonight, Monday, Dec. 26, and again Dec. 27 and Dec. 28 on Fox News' On the Record with Greta Van Susteren in a three-part series focusing on the 2012 Presidential Election.

Van Susteren recently visited the Liberty University campus to film the segment as part of a multi-college tour.

Each night the program will include a segment on college students' perception of the most important issues confronting this year's presidential hopefuls.

On the Record with Greta Van Susteren is the nation's highest rated cable news program in its time slot.

Tonight nobody mentioned social issues or national security at all. Really? It's all about the economy. I'm not shocked, but I did expect more from our little LU kiddies.

most of us government students lean pretty libertarian, so the answers you'd hear might not be what you'd expect on those issues.

That's going to be the tune of the 2012 election. Granted, the economy is a HUGE issue, but it isn't the only issue.

The economy is the number 1 issue. Look at Rick Santorum's poll ratings and tell me I'm wrong.

There will always be the LU student that will harp on social issues, however the economy and jobs are the most important issues facing America today. Sure, I would love to have a Believer in office, but this country needs a business mind to help move us in the right direction.

Cain was the only one that came to my mind. Romney is a finance guy whose only real business experience is buying companies, laying off workers and then reselling the companies for profit. I'm not sure how that applies.

Don't look now, but Santorum is on the rise in the polls.

Because he finally realized people care about jobs, not gays. Having said that, he won't win anyway.
