I saw a car on campus today that had a white car flag with the Flames logo. Anyone know where to get those? I have a red one from Universal T's and a blue one from the campus bookstore and would like a white one to complete the red, white, and blue scheme. Thanks.

Found the flag at Universal T's for $12. They also had a garden flag for $12 and a larger 3' x 5' house flag for $45. Unfortunately they did not get Flames ponchos in time. They will be at the game tomorrow with these items and some new t-shirt designs.

The white car you saw was Bob Good. I talked to him today and he said these are the nicest flags we've had. Hopefully they'll catch on pretty good.

The woman at Universal T's also thought it was probably his car I saw. I love the flag and may go get another one tomorrow before the game. The garden flag is going to look nice in the yard too.

I remember begging for those flags to be produced when I was a student. Glad to see we are getting our act together on this one.

They know what they're doing when it comes to marketing and that stuff. I have a feeling we'll be seeing LU stuff in more places in the next year or two.

It may have taken awhile, but it looks like the merchandise train is finally moving.

I think the goal would be to someday walk down University Blvd. and realize that you are at LU because of the gear people are wearing (as opposed to being confused because of everyone sporting Duke, UNC, VT, UVA... stuff).

Great point 01LUGrad. I know that when I go to VT games, the campus is covered in orange and maroon. It's a great sight to see and adds to the game day atmosphere. Of course what you describe wouldn't necessarily have to be just on game day.

They're going to start making less and less of the off color LU shirts and making more in the school colors.

With LU raiding the UVA coffers of players, Jeffersonian architecture, LU is looking more and more like a baby UVA...not necessarily a bad thing in the short term to hitch onto that train with the reputation of that school (tradition, academics, athletics, etc.)...now just to address the academic standing and perception among its peer institutions.
