Rules:

1) Only complaining about things that happen ON CAMPUS is allowed.
2) Do not use names. Initials are allowed, names are not.
3) You are allowed to comment on things, however, if anyone starts a flame war (no pun intended) telling students how great they have it or to stop whining, there post WILL be deleted. This thread was made so that we can keep all of that in one thread.

Things to complain about (but not limited to):
1) Dress code
2) Parking
3) Girls
4) Curfew
5) Jerry hitting people with his car

Have fun.

Two things I noticed while driving back on campus after lunch:

Some girl was wearing a Dwayne Wade jersey to class, and she was in the Liberty Way. That somewhat ticks me off that girls can get away with that and t-shirts and stuff and guys have to wear collared shirts. I don't mind wearing collared shirts, it's just the profesionalism thing goes straight out the window when people start wearing basketball jerseys to class.

Nothing ticks me off more than getting a parking space taken by some tool on East Campus. I was driving around, looking for a spot, and a kid takes the one I was looking at. He got there before me, he won it fair and square. Then I see on his car that he was on East, and I was ticked off. He cheated. The same thing with the quads, circle, and freshman tags. If they beat me fair and square, I'm fine. If they cheat, I'm not.

My beef. Well, one of my beefs. Bicycle riders riding on the sidewalks. I've almost been hit 3-4 times the past two days.

I find it a bit Ironic that a girl wearing an NBA jersey is in code at Liberty but an NBA player wearing his own jersey or anyone elses for that matter is out of dress code now.

I freaking hate that too, especially on the road by the baseball field coming from the pit to P2.

I'm pretty sure it's against dress code. You're not (or at least weren't) allowed to have large logos, words, or graphics on your shirt.

yeah, my girlfriend wears a normal t-shirt almost everyday....i don't understand why they can, and we can't. It just doesn't make sense....that has got to be one of my biggest beefs with the liberty way....i mean i don't mind wearing a collared shirt, its really not a big deal, i just wish we all had the same kind of rules...

and whats up with girls wearing shirts with body parts nearly hanging out?? I mean if my hair comes close to my ears i have ra's running my way.....girls have body parts hanging out making it hard for us guys to look away and try not to struggle with stuff like that.....ahhh

ok i am done

It's not like they're dressing like Cherry St crack whores. Most girls are covered up but they may show a little cleavage. It's hard to find shirts that don't show anything at all, or so my sister says.

haha Cherry St crack whores....that made me laugh

anyways i am not saying its terrible, i mean i see worse all the time outside of liberty....the reality is though there are girls that go overboard....i see it everyday....i could snap pictures and post them on here, but i don't think that is going to help the situation....my point is really is that I see this everyday-today included-and i just kind of shake my head because it is quite clear that girl RA"s are less confrontational then guy ra's.....guy ra's are like hawks....one hair on the ears they swoop in on me...maybe its because i am some skinny white guy so i am not scary at all.....that might play into it....anyways i am just rambeling....there are girls with their boobs hanging out.....its true

Comeon, guys. How are the girls going to get the MRS degree if they don't advertise. Don't complain. Enjoy!

At least the girl had good enough taste to wear a Miami Heat jersey. If I wasn't already married, I'd wanna meet her.

a) guy ra's are like hawks....b) one hair on the ears they swoop in on me...
a) Soup Nazi RA's--Training ground for tomorrow's secret police and patriot act enforcers (breathe, wait a beat, smile wryly, now post...)

b) That's why several male Alumni sport long hair for the next 4-5 years after they graduate as they detox from the L-Way (current students, check out homecoming, count how many dudes sport the Sampson Locks, mullets are worth bonus points.)

For LU to reach 25,000 qualified students and to have a national presence in football (ever playing within a few touchdowns of Notre Dame) and academic prestige, some of the more arcane and draconian rules will have to be relaxed IMO.

Spidey--the changes started when they got rid of the ties, then the dresses, and now allowing jeans and flops. The hair will be the next to go, then shorts will be allowed. Then, LU becomes "almost" like every other school.

you are right 100% the rules dealing with moral issues are a whole other thing, but hair and other such things will have to go....the old guys may not like it, but its the truth.....and i will be one of those alumni in a couple years that will have long hair, no doubt about it

I lived in South Florida for several years when I was young and most of my family is from that area, so I developed into a Heat, Dolphins, and Marlins fan. I've followed the Heat from day one...From Rony Seikaly to Glen Rice to Tim Hardaway to Dwyane Wade...I've followed them through all of that.

Anyway, sorry to hijack this thread...

That is messed up that girls can wear stuff like that and guys can't. I'm not an LU student, but I can agree with that.
