I'm trying to expand my music horizons RE: dubstep

I've been in my "new music isn't offering me much" rut for far to long and its been time for me to check some new stuff out for some time.
i discovered dubstep watching a recap video of a tournament softball team i was on. i started looking and found that while initially annoying, it kind of grew on me. i'm still very picky but found a handful of artists that work for me.
basically sounds like nintendo music fused with the sound outside of an old car makes when its got subs in the trunk and transformers doing it in the back seat of said car.
Skrillex is probably the best.

Thanks, always nice to hear new stuff. This is what I imagine the cooler Autobots listen to before battle.

I saw MGMT on yo gabba gabba the other day. It was every bit as weird on a kids show as it is regularly.

Weird Al was on there today strangely with Sarah Silverman. Yo Gabba Gabba easily takes the prize as most bizarre kids show on TV. And my 4-year-old daughter eats it up. Scary.

+1
I was just introduced to dubstep about a month ago, and while I'm not into a lot of it Skrillex is probably the one I like the most. Also, yeah it reminds me of Transformers every time I listen to it haha

and they are far worse in concert, live- trust me.
though, that's probably explained by the fact that MrsPA and I may have been the only ones that were NOT stoned throughout the whole thing.
I had to drive.

mgmt is terrible. that dub is decent and makes the song tolerable. same with the arcade fire. i just don't get it.

How Have I missed this thread... I'm a huge fan of dubstep. its gained a ton of traction down here in Atlanta. Skrillex will be here in October with pretty lights. Saw some other smaller artists that i loved. I want to see bass nectar and flux pavilion but i'm not very picky. The la Roux remix by skrillex is amazing.
