Undergrad degree holders can't find jobs and go to law school in hopes that the market will get better by the time they graduate. It's been happening for years. It's been pretty obvious that we were going to have a lot of under/unemployed when they all started to graduate. How many lawyers can this country sustain anyway?

I love all this hatred for Lawers. Everybody hates them.... until they need one.

I don't hate lawyers. It's a great profession. But the amount of students going to law school because they don't really know what else to do is ridiculous.

There is plenty of valid points going around. I am split on the idea of too many law schools. I Just read about North Texas University starting a law school....there are plenty of law schools in North Texas. It is growing in every state. Think LU for instance. Law School means money for someone.....the person running the school.

However, I think scripture teaches that we shouldnt sue...

Do we ever say there are too many engineers? too many teachers? although in law school, I worry about this because we might be making it too easy, therefore allow less competent lawyers representing people. But I think there is a direct correlation between the number of lawyers and the amount of justice in America.

Could you imagine if the number of lawyers were cut in half? Who represents people in the less historic legal fields? Not everyone wants to be a litigator. It is very depressing field right now for almost anyone outside of medical or engineering. But, God is the provider
