This is one of the coolest things that TRBC does IMHO. I love the creativity in an event that reaches beyond the church crowd. Incidentally I believe outdoors ministries are highly underutilized in churches today.

Our church held it for 2-3 years a while back until TRBC started theirs. Sid Bream spoke one year and there were a good number of salvations. Sid is a big time outdoorsman and did a really great job.

Wish I could be there.

The City of Dunbar (WVa) does a Critter Dinner every year, and it's outstanding. Proceeds go to the local food-bank, IIRC.

Crocodile and possum stew for me please. With a side order of raccoon of course. It should be a fun event. I haven' t been fishing in over 20 years. Maybe this will inspire me to pick it up again.

I thought critters were what's for dinner every night in WV.

I've got a jon boat, FC, and a float trip down the James, fishing for smallmouth (with a cooler), is one of the most relaxing ways to spend a Saturday.

About the Dunbar "Critter Dinner," I''ve got family in that town, but I've never enjoyed that particular meal. 'Sounds like a great potential road trip, though: only 4 hours from the 'burg!

Is Sid Bream going to be there this year ... my sister was a friend of his at LU "1980-84". I enjoyed following his baseball career. Would love to hear him speak!
