We all know the scare we had at Liberty a few years ago due to an umbrella case, now there's been another scare at Valley View Mall here in Roanoke:

Hundreds of shoppers and mall workers were evacuated, beginning just after 5 p.m., when three people reported seeing the man with what they thought was a gun. Two of the witnesses told police they were sure the man was carrying a rifle, said Capt. Monti Lee.

The man wasn't found and police said they remain unsure what he was carrying, Lee said.

"The videos are being reviewed and the object could be an umbrella or similar type object," Lee said.

Stories like this aren't funny, of course. But is it wrong to say if it was an umbrella after all that its comical?

It's not funny? I saw what happened on the news last night, and this was the epitome of overreaction. I was waiting for them to call in the National Guard to lob in some mortar rounds and set up a no-fly zone.

I said it wasn't funny just because every time I seem to laugh about something everybody gets all mad at me on here lol. I was treading on thin ice because I wasn't sure what would happen lol.
