What a bittersweet moment. You reach the pinnacle, win a national championship, and then find out your program is eliminated.

Yeah I was surprised when I read that too. You have to feel for the kids who are at the pinnacle only to have it come crashing down. It's too bad they couldn't have delayed the announcement by a week or two atleast.
