The 506th was reflagged from Korea back to the 101st in 2005. I was fortunate enough to be in 2-506th, and whenever we had reunions and the old timers came out they were treated like rock stars. Those guys were true fighters, but they were humble. Major Winters was no different. He was a legend long before Band of Brothers came out, and a true patriot. As we say, we stand alone together, then now and always. Currahee! RIP you deserve it.

RIP Major Winters. Thank you for leading a company of Heroes.
