My son & I love watching Adam overindulge. I have to admit I never thought of Lynchburg as a destination. It'd be awesome to see it happen.

The Cavalier. But even their 4-patty cheeseburger is barely over 1 pound of meat, which is only an appetizer for "the man", even if you throw in a bowl of potato wedges with ranch dressing.

Now Moe's Hot Wings might be the ticket! And Moe's would make him cry!

Thanks for the compliment HMO. This will be a uphill battle - there really isn't a super unique location in Lynchburg. No contests, no real unique food that they normally look for, BUT this is a little different than their usual request. They are taking a more Travel destination approach to this casting call and not looking for the usual challenge, but just unique towns and food establishments with character.

I'm not sure a chain restaurant is something that will excite them Cider:). Cavalier is a very unique place and food isn't bad, not very unique, but the atmosphere is...

Oh, I love the Cav! I've taken at least 3 Flame Fans there shortly after they moved to Lynchburg (is Moe's Hot Wings a chain? I'm not referring to the Mexican place by LU).

Oh!! ??? I don't think that anyone would buy a franchise of that place - so it's got to be local. That wouldn't have been bad - we were trying think of a location that had some hot and spicy food. Maybe next time...

i turned it off after about 20 seconds that dude was annoying.

and that burger is pretty puny compared to that shows caliber of food.

as for man vs food. i like the premise and 80% of the time enjoy adam. the way he gargles nuts when he tastes something while they are making the food or even when he is in the challenge is so annoying. HMMMMMMMMM MMMM!MM!MMMMMM THIS IS DELICIOUS. he does it like a fat worman.

and when he's meat sweating all over the place with food all over his face and he makes the "w" or the "m" with his hand i feel just a little bit embarrassed for him.

Yeah, you can tell some of the challenges, the food is not high quality. I mean a 7lb breakfast burrito that 60% made up of a very large bucket of potatoes? Certainly a tough challenge but you know that tastes like dry starch. But he has to act like it's the best thing he ever ate.

If they want something unique then you gotta go with the Texas Inn...who wouldnt like to see Adam Richman eating a Cheesy Western (or 10)?

Me.

I love the t-room, and I love cheesy westerns, but I make a better western than any place in Lynchburg. As does Red Robin.

You can come up with all sorts of challenges in there.
-Survive one meal.

-Wait in line for quesadillas without going crazy having to listen to the kids debating Calvinism behind you.

-Find a place to sit around noon.

You need to try the one at Moore's. Although it's not in Lynchburg so your statement still holds true. But seriously the one at Moore's is awesome.

yuuuuck. I love love love spicy foods. I love their hot dogs. But that is not chili and it does not taste good. It's like a cayenne pepper paste they slather on the dog. It's gross and you can't taste anything once it hits your tongue. It's like putting wasabi on a hotdog.

But you are right, it would be a decent challenge for him to eat a bunch of those.

I know Owen's Market. But what's a WV hot dog?
BuryYourDuke wrote:Moore's chili dogs are seriously worthy of being on that show.
No way "the man" could eat a dozen of those chilli dogs. :nono

It probably requires "sauce" - never in my life have I heard of hot dog sauce until I moved here.

I believe you are referring to the Malisse burger. Quite possibly worth the heart attack it may well cause one day.

Yea, cole slaw on a hot dog is HUGE in WV; but the yellow relish made out of cabbage is strictly a VA dog/Texas Inn dog.
