I have not joined yet. Several threads on here people mention getting info from Twitter. Do you just "follow" people, and who are the best sports/ LU people to follow. Also what is the @ symbol standing for, and what does the # symbol mean?


Also.. what is electronic mail? JK

But for real.. some help on twitter. I think the reason i have not joined, is because the name sounds nasty and perverted.

twitter is great, just join it and you'll figure it out.

Essentially every media outlet has a presence on Twitter. So whoever you normally check with online has an ID. The @ indicates to the Twitter system that a user ID is immediately coming afterward. Originally it was used to signal to the system to pass on a reply to an ID. As in I have a message to want to go @somebody.

A few LU oriented accounts you might want to follow right out of the chute:

A slew of LU athletes in about every sport have accounts. They are not hard to find. Some tweet practically every thought while others only tweet sporadically.

Seriously. You can tell these guys have a lot more time on their hands with the football season being over. I may have to unfollow them until spring ball.

I was thinking the same thing last night Manson.

Ervin's the worst. I unfollowed him a few weeks ago.

agreed, i unfollowed him after 2 days, couldnt take it. I primarily use twitter for youth ministry, following other youth pastors, etc. Couldnt stand it

the bible just stopped following me, I feel so unbiblical haha
