Has anyone else noticed that the first day of work at a new job is the most akward day, ever? I start a new job tomorrow and I'm dreading it just because of the first day akwardness.

Be friendly and non-threatening and everything will be grand. You can show your true colors later.

Be happy you have a job. Realize that in about 2 or 3 months you will look back at yourself that first day and say "What a putz I was!!' We all experience that. Where are you working? Maybe some of us can "make you feel welcome" in a Flamesfan sort of way!!

Remember, if you are not 5 minutes early, then you are late. Two other rules:
1. The boss is right
2. If the boss is wrong, refer to #1.

I wasn't talking about nervous or making a good impression. I said the first day is always akward because you really don't know what you're doing and no one knows you. Now to finish my sandwich and head back.

That's where you find the hottest chick in the place and get her to show you the ropes.

Too bad the only person working in my department was a dude. I work with the girl on Wednesday but have no clue how she looks.

One thing's for sure, SJ, the girl will look AWESOME compared to a dude.
