remembering that thread, who plans on getting Black ops tonight/soon?
Me and a bunch of the kids in my youth group are getting it tonight, and like seven of them are skipping school tomorrow to play all day. If you get it tonight, Ill be on PS3 under the name CAPTAIN__POOP, thats two underscores together, apparently CAPTAIN_POOP was already taken haha

Someone compare this one to the new Medal of Honor. Which is better? What are the biggest differences?

this will be better than medal of honor. Medal of Honor was terrible as an online multiplayer. The story mode was ok, it was good in the sense that it had a good story and everything, but it was nothing new and nothing that you havent already seen/done in any other modern war-fare type game( i dont mean call of duty modern warfare I mean recent games about war that take place in modern times).
as far as the online, it could have been so great, and its a lot of fun for a while, definitely a change in pace, but it was lacking in so many areas that it quickly became so frustrating. The level up thing was fun for a bit, but after a certain point gets old and stupid, and has nothing on what past call of duty games have done, and is nothing compared to the currency system on Black ops. The whole set up of the online play is confusing and retarded, it takes forever to back out of a lobby or even to join a lobby, theres no communication in the lobby unless the game is actually being played, and on and on and on.
I had it for three weeks or so, got my fill in after a week and then became super frustrated every time I played it, so I gave up, a week later tried it again, got frustrated, drove to gamestop and traded it in.

I've had it for about a week or so. It's ok, nothing special. When I heard the title "Black Ops" I was really hoping for a Rainbow 6 type game. No, this is a much older timeline....I just dont get down with games that take place in history to well.

It seems I may be the only male on the planet not playing this game. For the record, I abstain because I know how addictive my personality already is.

I've never been a console fan. Always preferred the PC...and still prefer the original COD. Is anyone playing the PC version of this and if so, how is it?

So for the online play (xbox live), does this game allow for multiple players on one console?

Personally, video games don't interest me, but this is a pretty cool offshoot from this game:
The Wrangler is actually one of the worst vehicles on the market overall, but I have to say this version is not bad to look at.

Campaign was solid story wise. Multiplayer is a lot of fun. I enjoy it more than I did MW2.

when did flamefans make the switch to ps3? i remember a few years ago everyone had 360's. do you guys play zombies at all? I always hated zombies, but im having more fun on that now than on the regular multiplayer. me and the kids in my youth group made it to level 46 on the regular one yesterday, but before when they had the table glitch on the Five we got to like 80 something, it was ridiculous haha

This FlameFan has little kids so we rock the Wii. Although we had a blast over Thanksgiving trying out Kinect. It was the best workout I've had in six months.
Now back to your previously scheduled discussion of death & destruction.

the kinect is a blast. I got one for our youth cafe last week, and its awesome. We have the playstation move up there as well, but the kinect blows it out of the water.

Yeah, I'm already getting really sick of this game. It took me a LONG time to get sick of MW2. I'm already tired of Black Ops. The lag, the knifing, and just the overall feel of the game. It might be because of the lag, but it feels choppy and inconsistent.
I was doing really well for a while, and now I'm absolutely terrible. I don't know why or how these things happen, but it's really frustrating. It's fun to play a game you're bad at if you know you're bad at it. But when you know you can do at least decent, and then you try to play and you fail miserably, it's not fun at all. That's what happened to me with MW2 and it's happening with BO. So I dunno...

I got sick of it in 5 minutes. Explain to me why in the world you want to run around with a BB gun when you know that there is another game that is an equal in gameplay and graphics where you can have attack choppers, grenade launchers and other weapons.
When I first heard the title but didnt know the game concept I got really excited b/c I pictured a mix of MW2 and Rainbow 6 (my all time favorite PC game) b/c it had a sneaky futuristic title. Of course it wasnt even close.....should have named it Platoon or something.
