Chip Studer remembers Dec. 28, 1991 as the day he took his “last walk in the woods.” That’s the date a treestand accident left him paralyzed.
The Franklin county sportsman now spends his time sharing his story, telling how God has blessed him, and how a treestand can change your life, even take it, if it isn’t in good condition and used properly.
Following his accident, Studer earned a Bachelor of Science in Religion from Liberty University. He now serves as men’s lay leader at Franklin Heights Baptist Church in Rocky Mount. Since 2001 he has been a Certified Outdoor Education Instructor. He is passionate about sharing salvation and safety, often during the same motivational talk. Two good messages - one for now, one for eternity.
