A Sea Of Red

Can anybody recomend some good movies to rent? They have to be relatively new. Don't tell me to go get Braveheart or Saving Private Ryan. I'd recomend Green Street Hooligans to everybody who is not attending Liberty. Suprisingly good movie. It reminded me of Fight Club.

I was about to suggest that same movie for you. It's amazing.

Can't go wrong with Inside Man with Denzel Washington and Clive Owen

Do NOT rent 'V for Vendetta'. So bad. So very very bad.

oh come on, that was on my list of things to see. was it just a bad movie or did you just not like the politics? What's not to like about a Hoo running around with ninja turtle weapons?

I thought V for Vendetta was good.....You cannot look to deep into politics....As someone once said, "One's man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter"

The politics I could care less about. I couldn't get past the fact that I was supposed to take the guy in the goofy mask seriously for 2 hours. The ending was anticlimactic, the talents of John Hurt and Hugo Weaving were completely wasted in this movie, I think Stephen Rea was literally wasted in this movie, the effects were mediocre at best and, as much as I like Natalie Portman, there's only so much I can take of her "I think I'm about to cry" face, particluarly when accompanied by a horrendous British accent. And that stupid rhyme is stuck in my head now!
If you want to see a decent Warchowski Bros. movie, rent 'Bound'. Just don't let your RA see it.

I second that. It's a movie about politics, too, but it's done well.
I'd also recommend "The Big White". I thought it was pretty funny and it's apparently the movie that booted Robin Williams off the wagon...so there's that.

i assumed that History of Violence was going to be awesome but it was absolutely retarded

A history of violence was good for a little while. Then it ended kinda stupid. And Vigo is such a mumbler. it's annoying. And it probably had 2 of the oddest sex scenes I've ever seen in a movie. They still have me scratching my head.

Firewall was too slow for me. I watched the first 45 minutes and cut it off.

It was ok. I felt like I had seen it already.

I actually thought Walk The Line was pretty good. It was a little long but it was good.

hahah....no he does a really really good job...its super violent too...the first surprise really got me...the 2nd was predictable...

on history of violence sex scenes....you took the words out of my mouth....i've never been so confused in my life....I DONT UNDERSTAND what purpose they served or what is even going on....

Tristan and Isolde(love story before Romeo and Juliet) very good movie
End of the Spear(true story about the 5 missionaries killed in Ecaudor in the 1960, bloody movie). Great movie for adults and especially teenagers to watch
The greatest game every played(true story about the only amatuer to win the US open)
Cinderella Man(true boxing story about Jim Braddock)
Eight below(true story about sled dogs on their own in the artic for 6 months)
Dreamer(based off a true story about a race horse named Mariah Storm who broke her leg and came back racing and winning)
Casanova ( the latest movie that came out, good story)

LUconn, I'd recommend Serenity, which I keep telling you, but I don't think you've seen it. And Ong Bak, but most people would think it's dumb. And rubbermallet's right, Benchwarmers is funny.

We enjoyed "Walk the Line" ("The Village" was good too, surprisingly- I thought it was going to be
horror but MrMc said it's not what I think)

Eight Below- didn't get to see it in entirety yet; it was playing at campground in NY state but even
the small amt. I saw was too much b/c 3 yr. old was w/ and she kept talking abt. guy
w/ yellow coat slipping into water; I kept reassuring that he was fine-we saw him in a l
later scene
still have to finish watching "What women want" but Mel has disappointed me in real life lately
"Invincible" abt. Phili Eagles is coming out on 25th

I'll second you on Garden State and I was shocked that MI:3 was any good at all. Not counting "The Last Samurai", it's better than anything Cruise has done in a decade.

Elizabethtown? I can barely stand Bloom in Pirates and LOTR. I don't think I'll be going out of my way to see a chick flick with him in it.
