Also it would be nice if they had a corp tradition at LU like VT has. Even a little skipper at our games would be nice. Skipper is the name of the VT cannon used at home football games.

We used to have a local National Guard unit with a cannon every time we scored. I don't know who discontinued that, us or them. Part of the reason VT has such a tradition there is that it was founded as an A&M military school. That would be hard to match.

I wouldn't want to. ROTC cannons are OK with me. But "corps" with no real military connection is lame (witness College Station for further evidence).

Well, maybe not a military connection, but the university's name coinciding with Freedom could "allow" them to use military-inspired showmanship at games without it being too tacky.

They could put some kind of pyrotechnics at the back of the endzones that would go off (kind of like the stuff that use at arena rock concerts);

I once had the thought that we could put a guy in an asbestos suit and, when we score, light him on fire and send him running across the end zone. Nobody took to that idea, though. I don't know why.

Get a giant marshmallow suit and have him waddle over to and stage dive into an oversized bon fire then run around the field. (Shoutout to the glorious marshmallow, LUPD Kryptonite.)
