Thinking of X-Mas gifts already (that I plan on purchasing for people). Anyone have any insight into the Kindle?

It's pretty much on even level with the nook as far as i'm concerned, and i like my nook. Can't readit at night without a light on - e-ink screens don't have a backlight - but the e-ink screen does work really well in sunlight. I haven't tried the browser on one, but it is kind of a pain on the nook (and I imagine not that much better on the kindle just given the type of device these things are), of course i didn't get the nook for the browser, so its not that big of a deal.

This shortcut has always irked me. Am I the only one?

You're not the only one -- some Christians think its a secular way of taking "Christ" out of "Christmas". Except, it's really not -- because the "X" in Greek is the first letter in "Christ".

(or something like that. I'm sure there is a Biblical scholar on this board who has a more accurate explanation, but I'm pretty sure that's the gist of the explanation.

But in the Latin alphabet, Jehovah begins with an I!
