Can't think of a reason I would ever be anywhere between Raleigh & Greenville but that place looks promising.

YES!!! It's been a while since I've been there, though.
They bring a huge slab of meat to your table & ask you what size you want, prepared, etc....
Sly, that's my old stomping grounds......so tread lightly.....ye be warned.

I've been there once before and going back tonight. I love the place! No menus. I don't even remember them taking a drink order but just bringing sweat tea out.

It's got a little bit of salty aftertaste.

If you are going to be the spelling/grammar police, be sure to properly type your response.

I apologize as I have no pics.
It was great again. They did pave the parking lot which kinda takes away from its luster IMHO. Anyways, from the outside you would not give the place a 2nd look. It's right off of 301. It's in about a 700 sq ft building. The parking lot is overflowing with cars. When you open the door you're facing the grill and its master. They have about 8 tables which seats a total of 44 people. Once you are seated one of the guys comes over and takes your drink order. By time you get your drinks the grillmaster brings out a large piece of meat and says - "this is 8oz, I can go larger if you want" and then "how would you like that cooked." That was all he said. After that you make your way to the salad bar. As soon as you get to the salad bar he throws our steaks on the grill. About the time we finish with our salads he has our steaks ready for us. You get your steak, a piece of bread, and a baked potato. No other options.
It was very, very good. The steak is on par with a Ruth's Chris steak. The bill for 2 was $48.
I definitely recommend it if anyone passes through the area. It's only open for dinner - 5-10 pm

I disagree. The five or so times I've had their steaks they have always on par with the best I've had anywhere. Everything else on their menu is just average, IMO.

I've eaten my fair share of steaks, and Ruth's Chris is the best I've ever had. And if you're ever in Richmond you need to go to that location. Consistently voted as the best Ruth's Chris location.

they are the mcdonalds of high end steakhouses. there are usually much better steakhouses blocks away from a ruths chris and their butter drenched steaks.
