This is getting serious. Now Redbox just needs an agreement with Xbox/playstation/tivo/wii to get an easier stream to your tv. It's funny how Blockbuster isn't even mentioned anymore, even though they're opening their own Redbox-style kiosks.

A price war may be about to break out between kiosk operator RedBox and online renter Netflix. The website HighDefDigest.com disclosed on Tuesday that RedBox has sent out a survey to its users asking them about their interest in subscribing to a movie streaming service that would give them the ability to watch an unlimited number of movies streamed over the Internet as well as four rentals from RedBox kiosks — all for just $3.95 per month, about half what Netflix charges at its lowest monthly rate for basically the same service. Since RedBox already charges $1.00 per overnight rental, anyone who regularly rents four movies or more a month from its kiosks would essentially be receiving the streaming service free. RedBox offered no details about such a service.
