Father Murphy was a regular show for our family. I also remember him from the Little House on the Prairie series. Those were good shows. If you remember him from his playing days, you are old.

I certainly can remember him as a player, and that's what I checked, but actually I think of him more as a color commentator, paired with Dick Enberg as NBC's top NFL broadcast team in the 80s. He was really good at it.

Agreed, they made a good duo in the booth. If you watched pro football in the 80's, his voice was familiar.

They were always the big nationwide AFC game on NBC. They used to cover the Bengals quite a bit back when they were actually strong once upon a time.

I remember him vaguely from the Fearsome Foursome that my dad was always talking about. But Little House is what immediately jumps to my mind.

I definitely loved him in the booth with Enberg, but even then I thought of him as Mr. Garvey doing NFL games.

It's a different league now with so many specialized defenses, so some of Olson's accomplishements on the field may never be duplicated.

14 straight pro bowl selections
All time Ram's leader in tackles playing D-Tackle (You never see this now).
