Alexander Haig Passes Away

Some of our younger guys may not remember Gen. Haig, but he was one of the most influential men American for several decades.

Retired Army Gen. Alexander Haig, who held influential positions in the United States military and in politics and who as White House chief of staff shepherded Richard M. Nixon toward peacefully resigning the presidency, died today of complications from an infection. He was 85.

I remember back in the day that most everyone was convinced Haig was 'Deep Throat'. That proved to be false but the fact he was even a major possibility only added to his mystique.
