Stole this from another board but it might be more interesting here since we have a diverse age range. These old cartoons always pop into my head and I can barely remember what they are. Most likely because they were terrible and only lasted 1 season.

this was on Sunday mornings and I think I got to watch the first half of every episode and then had to leave for church. A football team goes back in time to be king arthur and his knights. Great idea. Has there ever been a more awesome theme song?

There were a ton of Japanese anime shows in the 80's that came and went. I was a big Tranzor Z fan. And there was the Snorkels, basically underwater Smurfs.
And decidedly (by me) unhorrible was the Pirates of Dark Water.

Hahaha I remember watching Street Sharks, King Arthur and the knights of Justice, The Mighty Ducks and WMAC Masters! As you can imagine, my childhood was spent on sports and cartoons. Another cartoon that came to mind is Gargoyles

Gargoyles was great! BUT! We cannot forget Thundercats!! This show was the BEST, not too mention Shnarf Shnarf!!!

I used to run Thundercats when I was at master control at WJPR Fox 21 a quarter century ago. I can't say I was a fan.

Obviously Thundercats was awesome, but it is in no way obscure. I'm talking stuff that most likely had a short run and nobody liked.
Gargoyles was also awesome, but it seemed like it was on for like 5 years and it was the same episodes over and over. The story never advanced.

M.A.S.K.!!! We had a bunch of those toys. I had the Jeep that a boat popped out of and a motorcycle that turned into a helicopter. I think that show is entirely based on the fact that a car with doors that pop up looks like it has wings.

Holy cow, M.A.S.K., watched that intro and it blew me away, I remember that exactly how it was. It's weird the things we forget.
Here's a clip from Tanzor Z. I guess it's a compilation of Bobo Bot's quest for flight. And yes, that girl robot shoots missiles from her boobs at the 2:54 mark. This was my childhood and you can't take it away from me.

I've never been able to remember what show that was from. I actually started to doubt that such a show existed and that I somehow made it up.
Some of these theme songs are pretty awesome. I wish there were extended versions.
